Dakota and Elle will live with Cameron Diaz
The casting director for My Sister’s Keeper, Matthew Barry, has revealed the director’s plans to create believable family chemistry between his leads. Dakota and Elle (playing sisters Anna and Kate) will actually shack up with their on-screen mother, Cameron Diaz, for a month before filming begins. Says the casting director himself, “Nick [Cassavetes], our director, is making them actually live together for a month before they start the film, so they really can get to know each other.” The news comes from a feature at the ‘Backstage’ website, where industry professionals are quizzed about their know-how (this week’s topic: casting chemistry). My Sister’s Keeper is reportedly scheduled to begin shooting March 3.
