Following the Effie Gray premiere, Dakota was a guest on Breakfast Monday morning. She talks about the movie and her English accent, which the presenters, being British themselves, praise! There are a few snippets from the film, including a gorgeous shot of Dakota twirling in one of the beautiful dresses she wears as Effie. Lots of giggling from Dakota, very reminiscent of her younger interviews!
Below is a short clip of Dakota and Emma Thompson together in a scene in Effie Gray. Such emotion from both ladies! I can’t wait to see the movie in its entirety.
Dressed in Valentino, Dakota stood out in her gorgeous red dress at the world premiere for Effie Gray, which was held in London at The Curzon Mayfair on Sunday. She posed for photos with co-stars Claudia Cardinal and Tom Sturridge. If you’re in the UK, the movie opens for you this Friday on October 10, so check out your local cinema to see if it’s playing near you!
The Telegraph has exclusively shared the trailer for Effie Gray, which you can watch below. I’m sure you’ll recognise some of the scenes included in the trailer, from the behind the scenes photos from 2011. Seems so long ago, it’s exciting to finally see Dakota as Effie in action!
Fashion Week has been busy for Dakota! On Wednesday she was at The Peninsula hotel in New York for a luncheon, dressed in Saint Laurent. Vanessa Lawrence caught up with her at the event:
A few steps away was the actress Dakota Fanning, who certainly qualifies as more than just It. What does the label mean to her? "I think of somebody who’s not me! When you hear that, you think of someone who’s very chic and cool. And it’s exciting to be in a room with all these chic, cool girls."
We also have a few shots of her on her way to the Rodarte fashion show she attended the previous day, as well as the first poster for Effie Gray, on which Dakota features twice!
Dakota and Jamie were seen together this week at Madison Square Garden to watch a basketball game. Two days later she was snapped after landing in Los Angeles, leaving the LAX airport. Along with these sets of candids we have new promotional stills from both Effie Gray and Night Moves, as well as a photo from the set of The Motel Life.
Today we have a new set of HQ portraits from the 70th Venice Film Festival, shot by photographer Eric Catarina. And Dakota isn’t finished with festivals for 2013 just yet – she’s set to attend the Mill Valley Film Festival in October. The last time she attended this particular festival to promote a movie was in 2008, for The Secret Life of Bees. This time she’ll be there for Effie Gray.
Something else to look out for in October is the US edition of Vogue. Below you’ll find a scan from the magazine, a brand new photo of Dakota we haven’t seen before. I can’t wait to see more from this shoot!
The video below is an interview during TIFF, where there’s a small clip of Dakota in The Last of Robin Hood:
