Dakota is currently in Singapore! She attended a fashion runway show on Thursday for Karl Lagerfeld’s Cruise 2013/14 collection for Chanel.

Dakota did attend the Met Ball! She showed up in a black dress by Rodarte, which has a cute set of wings on the back. Her bag is by Roger Vivier, shoes by H&M Conscious and jewelry by Van Cleef and Arpels. I love both her and Elle’s eye make-up! I’ll continue uploading more photos from the event to our gallery as they become available.

Both Dakota and Elle were mentioned among guests attending the Met Gala this year on Twitter by Jim Shi, which will take place on Monday at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. You might recognise the name of the event as Dakota went last year too. I hope the girls attend, can’t wait to see what they wear!

We have some brand new outtakes from Dakota’s shoot by Ellen von Unwerth earlier this year, as well as Karen Collins from last year. Some you’ll recognise but have been replaced with HQ images. Both photo shoots are just incredible, Dakota looks amazing in every picture.

You’ll notice Lovely has a brand new look, which incidentally uses the Karen Collins photos. I hope you like it! There have been lots of changes, a bit of downsizing, though the section about Dakota will continue to grow. Things like interviews and individual movie pages will be back, once they’re updated.

The biggest change is that Marcela, who created Lovely Dakota way back in 2002, has decided to step down as owner. Her beautiful designs and dedication have inspired a lot of budding designers over the years, myself included. She’ll certainly be missed.

Screen International has reported Dakota has joined the cast of the animated Gus, along with Seth Green, Richard Kind, Christine Baranski, Danny Glover and Elliot Gould.

The story follows a misunderstood orphan yellow bird, who unites a flock of migratory birds and leads them to Africa via the Arctic Circle.

We’ll have to wait a while to see it though, it currently has a release date of Christmas 2014.

I wonder if Dakota will voice one of the birds? We love her animated roles, she brings her characters to life in a way only she can. Congratulations, Dakota!
